1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Resume++ ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"), accessible from resumeplusplus.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Resume++ is an AI-powered resume builder and tailoring platform. We provide tools to generate, edit, and compile resumes using LaTeX, as well as AI assistants to review and optimize resume content for specific job descriptions.

3. User Accounts

  • Registration: You may need to register for an account to access certain features. We use passwordless authentication (Email OTP). You must provide a valid email address.
  • Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service.

4. Credits and Billing

  • Credit System: The Service operates on a credit/token system. Credits are required to use AI features (e.g., generating text, tailoring resumes).
  • Daily Grants: We may offer free daily credits to eligible users (e.g., users with verified .edu email addresses). These credits are non-accumulating; they reset daily and do not roll over.
  • Purchases: You may have the option to purchase additional credits. All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law.
  • Rate Limits: We reserve the right to enforce rate limits on API usage to prevent abuse and ensure service stability.

5. User Content

  • Ownership: You retain full ownership of the resumes, text, and personal data ("User Content") you upload or generate using the Service.
  • License to Us: By using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and process your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service (e.g., generating your PDF, running AI analysis).
  • Prohibited Content: You agree not to upload content that is illegal, offensive, infringing on intellectual property rights, or contains malware.

6. AI Disclaimers

  • Accuracy: Our Service uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to generate text and suggestions. AI can make mistakes ("hallucinations"). You verify that all information in your resume is accurate and truthful before submitting it to employers.
  • No Guarantee: We do not guarantee that using our Service will result in job interviews, offers, or employment. The Service is a tool to assist you, not a career placement agency.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Resume++ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

10. "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" Disclaimer

The Service is provided to you "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" and with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, we expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
